  1. The Ican Transitional Homes Project has been cancelled.   This project was in partnership with the Rotary Club of St. Maarten to support the I Can Foundation Transitional Homes projects to create temporary housing for young male & female who once they have reached 18 years of age are no longer wards of the state. Their were problems with ownership of the land, that was discovered before any money was transferred.  We now believe their is no reasonable chance of this project going forward in the near future.  We have a pending District Grant for a All-Abilities swing that we are installing near Rotary Hall this fall with a total budget for $11,500.   This is a high quality Ontario-made swing that anyone is able to use regardless of impairment.     If you wanted to have your contribution go to this project that would be helpful in increasing our pending Grant amount.    We would of course return your contribution back to you if that is your preference.

Rotary Minute: Doing Good in the World through Rotary
The Annual Fund is the primary funding source for Foundation activities. Your gift is a catalyst for sustainable change in your community and around the world.
At the end of each year, contributions directed to the Annual Fund SHARE from all Rotary clubs in the district are divided between the World Fund and the District Designated Fund.
The Rotary Foundation uses the World Fund portion for Rotary's highest priority activities and grant program opportunities available to all Rotary districts.
