Brighton Girl Guides

R Mark introduced Diane Bergeron. Diane has been with Girl Guides Canada for 14 years.

Diane is proud of the local girl guides who are very active in the area. They have 43 girls in Sparks to Rangers.

Recently Diane's daughter joined her as a leader.

Diane likes to challenge the girls, doing activities like tree top trekking, walking tour of Ottawa, food drives, Applefest, Santa Claus parade.

This year in cooperation with Girl Guides from Marmora, they are taking 7 girls from Brighton to the east coast - June 30 to July 7. They will fly to Sydney and tour Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick. They will do some whale watching, Cabot Trail, Peggy's Cove and the Bay of Fundy. The girls are ages 9 to 16.

The girls have been fund raising for 2 years.

R Dan thanked Diane for sharing with us.
