National Kids Cancer Ride 2018 asking if Rotary will prepare and serve breakfast for riders Monday September 24. Before 8am. We served them lunch last year.
Quinte Sailability asking for support for racers to attend the Mobility Cup in Halifax August 27 to 31, 2018.
Thank you letter from the Stephen Lewis Foundation for $300 donation to grassroots organization (Apple Route Grannies) to support HIV & AIDS support groups in Africa.
Brighton - Cramahe Chamber of Commerce 10th annual Golf Tournament at Timber Ridge Friday September 14th. Cost is $140 each.

Street Dance - big success and thank you to all who helped and participate. R Chris gave net proceeds at $5,700.
R Dave reimbursed club $100 for RI Convention Host Hospitality.
R Murray announced that we will move to the Smoke House starting August 31, 2018. We expect buffet breakfast for $10 each. By vote we will pay $12 with $2 to club and $10 to Smoke House.

Interclub BBQ - August 20 at Proctor Park. Duty roster is being circulated.

District Conference next year to be held in Wellington October 27th. 'Rotary Reunion'. Register in D7070 web site, also opportunity to host fellow Rotarian from away.
R Ricardo is looking for host families for coming year. Abby McDougal our outbound in France returning July 18. Our new outbound Rochelle is going to Taiwan about August 20th. Our inbound student from Brazil expected to arrive mid August.
2019 is Brighton Rotary's 30th anniversary.
R Chris is looking for budget information from directors.

Food Drive - August 10th at No Frills 1pm to 6pm. Duty roster being circulated.
Notice of Motion presented to club at two meetings for any planned expenditure greater than $2,000.

Notice of Motion 2018-07-06: Rotary Club of Brighton support Brighton Cadets by donated $4,400 (2 x $2,200 for boy and girl) to participate in trip to Alberta in 2019,

R Clay explained the significance of the Albert trip in 2019. On June 6 each year members of the Canadian Airborne Regiment visit mount 'Ex coelis' in Alberta. The Regiment's motto is Ex coelis (from the clouds). At this site, they honor their comrades and spread ashes on the mountain of members who wish this on their death. The cadets will participate in this ceremony.

As cadets have to earn right to attend this trip, and work to raise funds for it, we are asked to not go public with this donation at this time.

Happy Bucks: success of Street Dance, Montreal weekend with African grandkids, happy and healthy, interclub, no reason to be unhappy, to be here, Manitoulin, fun night with wife selling beer tickets, for help Saturday night, singing with grandson, good time at wedding, small but mighty club.

Rotary Minute: R Dan shared some history of street dances in Brighton going back to 1940's.
